Hard work

Hi you.

It has been awhile.

I've been caught up with work and what not.Been enjoying every bit of my daily timetable.Work does get tough at times. But yeah, work wouldn't be work if it doesn't require you to crack your brain once in awhile.

I'm currently composing this post using my ipad. So there wouldn't be much creativity from me tonight interms of statements written down. Cause half of my brain is being too careful with the typing. If you have ever composed a post using an ipad you would understand. It's not that hard but it does require a little bit of extra effort.

I've been getting my proper gym training this past few days and I'm enjoying every bit of it. It has been tough I can say but it is worth the pain. There are still alot of things that I need to learn interms of formation, function etc. It is not as easy as it looks you know. When it comes to weight lifting there are alot of things that you need to take into account. The meds, the safety, the proper routine and what not. A friend said she had a personal trainer for a year before she could do her workouts on her own. I told my trainer I would probably need just as much time period to master everything but he insisted that I can master everything in just three months. I'm thinking, how? Then again he knows better. So yeah.

Gym or weightlifting wasn't my thing, until I joined getfit crossfit. Getfit has been about speed and endurance. International crossfitters are my current inspirations, for instance Camille LeBlanc. After joining getfit I figured I'd mix it with a couple of gym sessions and hill trainings. Consequently, a friend (also my trainer) bought me a supplement which in a way gave me a sudden hype to workout even more. After a few gym sessions with my trainer, I slowly began to learn a few proper gym routines and with time I came to understand how these routines will help me become stronger. I haven't been going circuit as much ever since I hit the gym. Probable I'll go to the box when I am confident enough to do the fran in less than 5 minutes. Don't get me wrong though. I'm not planning to be bulky like those ladies in the body building championship in the US, just lean like Laura Dziak. She's a crossfitter too, you can youtube her.

People used to say that I'm too skinny and thought that I'm an aneroxic. So currently tryna work on that. One person actually thinks I'm fat. I have no idea how why? Thanks anyway, it was more of a compliment than an insult. My weight has increased and my clothes actually fits nicely now, especially my jeans and work pants. They no longer annoyingly droops down. Not alot thinks I'm that skinny anymore and I can feel that I am alot stronger than before. Hard work paid off I can say.

The journey doesn't end here. I have alot more to learn and I'm looking forward to every bit of it.My trainer wouldn't be around til forever, so I better start doing my homework.

Wana come and join me? :)

Just because

Just because I am small, doesn't mean I can't cross the longest river

Just because I am small, doesn't mean I can't climb the highest mountain

Just because I am small, doesn't mean I can't handle heavy weights

Just because I am small, doesn't mean I can't run longer

Just because I am small, doesn't mean you can walk all over me

Just because I am small, doesn't mean I am afraid to fight

Just because I am small, doesn't mean I am afraid to bleed

Just because I am small, doesn't mean I won't be able to bust your lips

Just because you think you're better, doesn't mean I am any lesser

Some fights are worth fighting for, I just I can't wait to get my fist on this one.

You will be missed

Hello you.

Almost half of February has passed. And my classes have started.

Juggling between two jobs is not new to me. You wana know whats new? Working out on my off days and non teaching days. I basically work five days a week, three days between those 5 days, I work from 8am til 930pm.

Last year, I didn't do as much exercises as I do now. So I would always be mentally and physically tired after a long day at work. To my surprise it's different nowadays. I'm not as tired anymore, ofcourse the exhaustion is there but just not as bad and this is because of the exercises that I do. Impressive what being more active can do to you ey. I wasn't too sure if this is the cause of my sudden boost of long lasting energy, until I asked Google and came across an article, on top of regular exercise sessions there are other things that play a role on beating tiredness.

Namely:
1. Getting enough sleep - which I always do during weekends
2.Try to avoid stress - I do tend to think too much at times and this usually leads to stress, trying to dial it down a notch
3.Eat well - I do. Except during my PMS period
4.Slow down - I can't, but I do try to prepare some of my work earlier so that I can avoid doing last minute business. Cause pending work are usually the main cause of a person rushing to get things done
5.Drink water - Been drinking as much water as I can
6.Try to avoid alcohol - I don't drink. So this is easy.

So you see people, if you think your job is dominating your life and you think you'll die due mental fatigue and sore eyes and back, implement the list above and you'll get a healthier and a more energetic YOU. *Wink

I had a good gym session earlier today, I get to learn how to do deadlifts. *thumbs up* And if I try hard enough I can start kipping already. I think.

And not forgetting, Easyway has their Green Apple Jelly already. Happy me :) Thank you spaceman. Looks like I'll be going to Disneyland soon enough!
woot!
 Note:

It's always nice to talk to you. I have no idea why. You might not be the sweetest person alive ( different definition and what not). You might not make me feel like a princess at most times but you do know how to make me laugh. So hard. In case you decided to have this story close, let me tell you now. You sure will be missed.

 Sleepwell.

FRAN Me

FRAN me

Hi,

A quick update for today before my brain shuts down. Its not 9pm yet and I'm already having mental fatigue. Reason being, I went circuit in Bandar today and kinda did a FRAN :) *Eseh seh seh..* Let me tell you what a Fran is, a Fran consist of 2 exercises 1. thrusters and 2.pull-ups. The idea is to finish 21 reps then 15 reps then 9 of each exercise alternating in between, as fast as you can. I clocked less than 8 mins earlier today. Not bad for a first timer. The bar was 20 kg, I was quite surprise cause when I do clean and jerks at the gym I can only do like 14kg and I would already feel like dieing. Its probably because there were people cheering for me earlier and that made me feel like I have to do it fast and finish the damn routine. Might look easy but it does get tough after 5 minutes of doing it. It was awesome though, I think the gym trainings does pay off. You might be wondering where on earth did I do this? Getfit crossfit has their own box now. It'll officially open soon and today was just a test run day where they tried out all the equipments and what not and not forgetting the Fran. I didn't get to do the TABATTA cause I kinda changed a little too soon, too bad, prolly next time. If you wanna know what a Tabatta is, google is just a click away. :)

And after circuit me and my friends went to grab dinner at Country Patch. Not bad, but not a place I would wanna go over and over again. I managed to grab a bracelet from Joey Joe Co. I really like the place, they sell the cutest and the prettiest jeweleries I have come across in Brunei. I like buying jeweleries. It makes me happy. :) You can imagine the number of rings, necklaces, bracelets I have. Not to mention earrings. Some of them I've used only once or twice and there are a few earrings which I bought that I haven't use. Kinda have a bad habit going on there. AND I had TUTTIFRUITI! :) Nyum!

Moving on to another topic for tonight. Things to buy next month. *Big smile

I want:
1. Vibrams. Still figuring out which type. Probably the treksport or classic. I did some reading and treksport is actually good  for crossfit trainings. Most likely I'll get a treksport then.

2. Gloves. The ones that supports your wrist as well, cause when I did the trusters earlier, it kinda hurt my wrist. I reckon, I was gripping the bar the wrong way.

3. Probably back support.

Oh also, SCB (Standard Chartered Bank) is hosting a charity run again. My mum and sister joined the 5Km last year. This year I might register for the 10Km.  *Eseh seh seh. But yeah, jokes aside, wouldn't hurt to give it a shot. You guys should register as well cause we'll be running for a cause *thumbs up.

It was an awesome day.

If she can, you can

We now have one here soon enough

I figured some silly pictures would make a good ending.

P/s we are not jobless. We just decided to blow off some steam.

My goal now is to nail those pull ups. How about you?

And I lift my hands and pray

Sometimes you wonder a million things.

You wander around in your thoughts and can't help thinking that you have your life on repeat.

You can't tell whether you are the one who is putting yourself there or nature wants you to be there.

You can't help feeling tired and deceived. Poisoned and pampered at the same time.

You keep telling yourself, I'd do anything just to have everything stopped. But by the end of the day, you are again lost in your thoughts of why, what and how.

Before you know it, you have your life on repeat the next day.

And I lay my head back down. And I lift my hands and pray.
